Orunodoi – Eligibility Criteria, Application Form and List of Beneficiaries :
Orunodoi or Arunodoi Project is a Scheme launched by the Government of Assam on 2 October 2020. The ‘Orunodoi’ scheme aims to provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,250 per month through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program to approximately 2.761 million families in the state. As of October 2020, beneficiaries receive this payment on the 10th of each month. Women who are the primary caregivers for their families are also beneficiaries of the program.
Orunodoi’s suggestion was made by the Minister of Finance, Dr. and current Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his February 2020-21 Budget Speech.

Scope of the Orunodoi Scheme
Government of Assam will provide monthly financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries for purchase of various necessities, including healthcare and food items such as medicines, fruits, vegetables, pulses and sugar. As per the policy, each beneficiary family will get Rs 400 subsidy for purchase of medicines, Rs 200 50% subsidy for 4 kg of pulses, Rs 80 50% subsidy for 4 kg sugar, grant of Rs. 150 rupees for fruits and vegetables, 170 rupees for essential goods, LPG 200 rupees.

How to apply for the Orunodoi Scheme?
The entire application process for Assam Orunodoi scheme is done offline only. Beneficiaries must apply offline through their respective Gaon Panchayat offices. They can follow the steps mentioned below.
Collect an application form from the respective Gaon Panchayat. |
Fill up the application form . |
Attach the following documents: Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, and Bank Passbook along with Orunodoi Form. |
The Ward Member of your ward will assist you throughout the application process. |
Submit the filled up application form at your respective Gaon Panchayat office. |
Orunodoi Sahayaks at GP / VCDC / ULB shall facilitate the process of filling up Detailed Application Form (DAF). |
DAF shall be used to collect the bank details and other information. |
The DAF also contains a self-affidavit to be signed by the selected beneficiaries specifying the eligibility conditions. |
